This is superior to any Christian fiction I’ve ever read. In it, faith is more than a setting or cultural backdrop. Fizzy isn’t just a man living life for himself with God as an occasional add-on to guide him. It’s a coming-of-age story: Where not just Fizzy, but the body of Christ is coming of age. Fizzy’s personal life serves as the background, while the real main plot is that “we were made not just to stop darkness, but to restore what it stole.”
Many Christian fiction books slow the story down by quoting Bible verses verbatim; this book references Scripture naturally while showing people who are actively transforming lives by the power of Jesus. The result is authentic, powerful, and refreshing.
